How would you structure a family in which you were a parent?

I'm not a parent and I am too old to be one at this point. I grew up in a family where my dad worked and left ALL the childrearing and responsiblity of the household to my mother, and I think she felt frustrated and overwhelmed. I would want a man who was a more "hands on" parent than my dad was. I think boys are easier to raise than girls and one or two sons would have been enough for me. I would have taken my kids to a Christian church because I am a Christian, but wouldn't have been upset if they had rebelled against it. You can only do what you think is right by your kids and let them be themselves.
