Can someone suggest what major spell my bad guy should be trying to pull off?

I like the dead army idea that someone previously said. What if he was trying to eliminate others from using magic, so the bad guy would be the only one with magic powers? He could be trying to absorb the powers of all the magicians in the world. That sounds pretty tiring. Then he raises a dead army. x] Maybe he needs the DNA of the most powerful magicians in the world? Or... legendary creature type stuff? Unicorn's horn, dragon scale, etc. Whatever you decide on, good luck! ;D Sounds like a great story.
