HAIR QUESTION!!!!!! WHAT COLOR STREAKS?!?!?

I want some funky colored streaks in my hair, but I have a few questions. First of all, I have dark brown hair, pale skin, and hazel eyes. I also have bangs. Ok, question time. What color should I get? etc. Blue, red, purple, green. Will it damage my hair very bad? How long will it last? Will it fade into another color? Should I put a streak in my bangs or will that look stupid? How much do you think this is going to cost?
